Instructions
Whip the cream in a cold metal or glass bowl with an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment or hand mixer using regular beaters.
Use medium speed at first increasing speed to high as the cream begins to thicken.
Add sugar and vanilla, and continue to beat until firm peaks form.
Do not overbeat which could result in sweet butter.
