Whipped Cream

  • 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract


  • Whip the cream in a cold metal or glass bowl with an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment or hand mixer using regular beaters.
  • Use medium speed at first increasing speed to high as the cream begins to thicken.
  • Add sugar and vanilla, and continue to beat until firm peaks form.
  • Do not overbeat which could result in sweet butter.
